OLAF: Okay. On a very cold, very snowy night, Elsa built me with her magic on top of a very cold, very snowy mountain: the North Mountain!
I opened my eyes, and I couldn’t believe it—I could see stuff! And I said, “Hi. I’m Olaf, and I like warm hugs.” I could talk! It was wonderful! Oh, I remember it so well.
Then I moved! I turned my head, I tilted it, I looked up and down and spun it all the way around. I moved my left leg, and then I moved my right leg. Oh! And I wiggled my butt. Side to side like this…and back to front like this…Then I spun it all the way around like this. It was like dancing!
It was the best thing ever. For the first time, I had these amazing moving parts. And then after all that moving and wiggling, something else happened: I WALKED! I could actually go places!
So I just started walking and exploring. I wanted to see it all—everything was so beautiful! There was no one else around, but there was snow…and air…and ice…and snow…and stars…and the moon…oh—and snow.
We saw a lot of snow today. And now with the blizzard blowing out there, I’m sure we’re going to see even more. I love the summer and the sun, but I love winter and snow, too. Snow is always so white and fluffy and soft. Wouldn’t it be fun if it were a different color once in a while? Green like the grass, maybe. Or pink like a flower. All happy, warm colors so it could be like summer all year round!
Soooo, where was I? Oh, right! So I was moving around, exploring, and having a great time as I went down the North Mountain—which was really big and steep. As I started walking down, my legs kept moving faster and faster, and before I knew it, I was running! Soon I was going so fast that I slipped and started to tumble. Everything was all crazy and swirling around and around and around and around. It was like my life was upside down! I was going so fast that I lost my head. And my legs. And my butt. And my middle. Everything was rolling down the mountain in all different directions! I loved it!
Oooh. Wow. That wind is loud, isn’t it? It sounds a little angry. Like it could really use a nice warm hug. It was windy on the North Mountain that night, too, but it wasn’t this loud. I love this cozy shelter. Thanks for building it, Elsa.
So, back to my story. I’m tumbling down the mountain in pieces—whooooopeee!—having a great time watching the world spin by, and some of my parts collected things along the way. A couple of branches got stuck in my middle, and my butt picked up some of these little round things…and a few twigs got stuck in my legs.
When all of me got to the bottom and stopped, I looked around and wondered how I would get myself together.
